ensure the continuity to the traditions of tribal art and crafts, Rabi
Narayan Nanda , MLA of Jeypore said . While asking the officials not
to distance themselves from their normal duties during the festival
, he urged the PRI members to extend their fullest cooperation in
organizing the mega event .
While drawing the calendar of events for the festival , considering
the financial constraints in the district this year , the members
felt the need to restrict the celebration to the Block level rather
than going up to the panchayat level like the previous years for the
lack of financial constraints . The festival will be flagged off at
Gupteswar , the Saiva Khetra of the district on 1st November and would
continue for the next 17 days , it was decided.
