Gandhi -Shastri Jayanti Celebrated

Gandhi Shastri Jayanti was celebrated in the Gandhi park of Koraput today. While children from all the schools in the town were the major part of the gathering in the park the district collector of Koraput, Sri Balakrushna Sahu garlanded the statue of Father of The Nation . Minakshi Bahinipati , the chairperson of Koraput NAC , Gupta Prasad Das , Ex-MLA of Koraput , Akhyay Mahanty , Secretary of Sarvoday Samiti were some of the prominent personalities present there . Holy books from Hindu , Christian and Muslim faith were read on the occasion . While there was enthusiasm alive in the children , absence of the spectacles on the face of Mahatma Gandhi raised many eyebrows . The statue of Lal Bahadur Shastry was also garlanded to mark his birthday. #########Thank you for reading . Please forward this experience of reading www.koraputonline.blogspot.com to your friends.
