PARAB-2007 FINAL DAYS' CELEBRATION

The three days long Parab festival was celebrated with great amount of participation . The stage was prepared like the Sabara Srikhetra of Koraput . Surendra Nayak , Minister for Agriculture was the chief guest . Dances like Tribal , Folk ands Classical were performed by artists from the district , state and Out side the state . Child Reporters also made their presence felt by their active participation in learning by questioning process in the field . They interviwed people on the thoughts and aspiration on Parab . Those were some of the greatest moments of the year for the children especially for those who had reached Koraput for the first time .

Child Reporters in State Children's Congress

hild Reporters from Koraput had been to Bhubaneswar , the state capital of Orissa to participate in The State Level Children's Congress that was organised for two days- 13th &14th Novemeber -2007 . They talked to children who ahd come from all over the state and conrtributed their findings to the Newsletter published on the occasion . It was a wonderful experience for them .

Destination Gupteswar

These are Amla , the Nutritious Fruit from the Forest near Gupteswar-the Holy Shrine of Lord Shiva. The way to reach gupteswar is adventurous . The rituals to reach the place by offering branches and leaves to the local diety is interesting . The things available here is fantastic . Please visit . One can reach the place by personal vahicles as there is no public transport to the place . personal taxis could be hired from Koraput and Jeypore .

Friends! Here is an opportunity for the students of Undivided Koraput District(Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri& Nowrangpur district) to participate in a Competition on “ENVIRONMENT & YOU” . You can participate in two ways .

Click a photograph from around you in these districts , that relates to your environment . Provide the significance of that photograph and your concern /feelings on it in a line or two . Send it to : koraputonline@gmail.com
Write in 100 words on “Environment & You” . This should be on your concern/feeling over the environment issues in these districts and proposals on how to bring solutions . Send it to : koraputonline@gmail.com
Only one posting in each category will be accepted from each contestant..

Step-2: After seeing your contribution in this website , ask your friends and relatives worldwide to see this . Ask them to click the Comments button that is there at the right bottom end of your posting .Let them write their remarks on your Photo/Article . Only one remark from each mail address will be accepted .

Step-3: Postings could be made up to 11 PM of 20th November -2007 . The postings that receives the maximum number of Comments would receive the prize( There must be at least one coment received per posting for you entry into competition) . In case of a tie , the judges will go through the postings and select the winner on the basis of the quality . Their decision will be final.

Postings can be made from 3rd November -2007 from 10 am . Entries before that would be invalid.
The prizes will be given at the School /College.

One can take part in one/both competitions .

PARAB-2007 LAUNCHED

PARAB-2007 , The Festival of Festivals was Launched today at Gupteswar . Minister Suryanarayan Patro, MLAs Rabinarayan Nanda ,&Jayaram Pangi , District Collector of Koraput Balakrushna Sahu and Ashok Pangi , ZP President were among the participants.
